The 1981, 1982 and 1983 Flint Central Men’s basketball team members include Derald Banks, Eric Turner, Marvin Wells, Marty Embry, Marvin Evans, Carl Webster, Keith Gray, Rod Milhouse, Matt Carrington, Mark Harris, Dexter Clark, David Dunlap, Michael Chaney, Darryl Johnson, Mike Wallen, Richard Haffner, Mark Wallen, Chris Levels, Tyrone Williams, Jon Beaubien, Chris Williams, Micah Shambly, Ed Greer, Jeff Massey, Doug Kennedy, Ken Bowic, Terrence Green, Ervin Leary, Darryl Gillian, Randy Levels and Reggie Person.
Led by head coach Stan Gooch the Flint Central Men’s basketball team won three straight State Championships in 1981, 1982 and 1983. As a team they won a state-record 24 consecutive tournament games. The 1981, 81’ and 82’ Flint Central Men’s basketball team finished with a three-year record of 79 wins and five loses.
